Finnishing Touch

Before I was a climber and traveler I was a horse rider and dreamed of one day making a life living enjoying every day indulged in horses. I got my first horse when I was 16 after 9 years of working day in and day out to prove I was ready for my own horse. 3 years old, off the track and the quirkiest, funniest horse I had ever been around, my life was complete. We spent 2 years together from the point of no steering to moving to Washington and competing in US recognized events together. After some not good days we soon realized he was hurt and was diagnosed with an incurable condition and was pronounced neurological. He was laid to rest at Aspen Farms when he was just 5 years old. When he passed away a piece of my heart went with him. I will always have a love for horses, but without Finn it has sadly never been the same for me.

This little horse walked his 3 white socks, crooked blaze and silly personality into my life in the fall of 2012 and little did I know  I would create the most incredible partnership with the most incredible animal. He will forever have my heart and I am forever grateful for the things he did for me. Finn passed away in fall of 2014 here is my tribute to him .

Forever my friend
